Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficientFunctional QA Engineerto join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications through bothmanual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software that meets functional and business requirements.

This is a full-time, Hybrid role with office base locations in Canada / USA / India (Bangalore / Chennai).

Key Responsibilities

Design and executetest plans, test cases, and checklistscovering functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing

Develop and maintainautomated test scriptsusingPlaywright + Python following thePage Object Model (POM)pattern

Performend-to-end testingof Angular-based Single Page Applications (SPAs)

ValidateREST APIsusing Playwright API testing, Postman, or similar tools

Performdatabase validationusing SQL queries to verify backend data integrity

Integrate automated test suites intoCI/CD pipelines(GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps / Jenkins)





Log explicit, reproduciblebug reportswith steps, screenshots, and logs; track through resolution viaJira / Azure DevOps

Performcross-browser and cross-platform testingto ensure consistent UI behavior

Actively participate inAgile/Scrum ceremonies sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives

Required Skills & Experience

3+ yearsof experience inManual Testing

Hands-on experience automating tests usingPlaywright + Python(Mandatory)

Solid understanding ofAPI Testing Postman / REST Assured / similar tools

Working knowledge ofSQLfor database validation

Experience testing acrossUI, Microservices, and Backend/DBlayers

Good understanding ofSTLC, Defect Lifecycle, and Agile Methodology

Familiarity withAngular, TypeScript, and RxJSto understand front-end behavior and write precise test selectors

Experience withCI/CD pipeline integrationfor automated test execution
