ABOUT WELLM
WellM is a wellness operating system for providers and organizations running structured, measurable wellness programs. We started in mental health, supporting Employee Assistance Programs for large organizations with AI-powered assessments, dashboards and outcome reports.
Today
WellM Inside lets wellness providers design custom journeys, run tailored assessments and deliver branded programs with real-time analytics — white-label apps, community features, AI support, multi-language, and full admin controls.
THE ROLE
We are hiring our second engineer.
Right now the engineering team is one person, the CTO. You would be the second. That means no ticket queue, no layers and nowhere to hide — but also that you will see how an entire product gets decided, built, shipped and paid for. Most developers don't get near that for another five years.
You will work across four different products: consumer hardware, healthcare, wellness and diagnostics. Real clients, real deadlines, users already in production.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BUILD In your first six months:
- An internal cockpit and CRM — Next.js and Firebase, going live this month
- A mobile app shipped to both app stores in September — React Native / Expo
- A healthcare platform: portals, onboarding flows, lead automation, a certification track
- A live wellness product with paying users: dashboards, payments, referral logic — Flutter, Node, Firebase
You won't be doing one of these. You'll touch all of them.
WHAT WE NEED
- B.Tech in Computer Science, IT or a related engineering branch
- 1-3 years of professional experience.
- Solid JavaScript and TypeScript.
React in something that actually ran in front of users, at work or on your own
- You've worked with a backend and a database. Firebase specifically is a bonus, not a requirement — you'll pick it up here in a week
- You can open an unfamiliar codebase and make a correct change without someone walking you through it
- You write things down: decisions, gotchas, what you tried. Small team, so what isn't written is lost
- You already use AI tools as a serious part of how you build, not as autocomplete
HOW WE WORK
- Hybrid. Mostly remote, with days together in Delhi / Gurgaon, so you'll need to be in NCR or willing to move here
- Async by default. One standup at 10am; the rest of the day is yours to run
- AI-assisted end to end. It's the default here, not an experiment
- You'll talk to the CTO every day and see the commercial side of every decision
- Disagreement is practical. If you think an approach is wrong, saying so is the job, not a risk
HOW TO APPLY Please don't send a cover letter. Send three things to
[email protected]:
1. Your projects. Anything you've built — side projects, college work, freelance, or work you're allowed to talk about. GitHub links, a live URL, a demo video, screenshots. We would much rather see one real thing than read a list of frameworks.
2. One paragraph on the project you're proudest of: what it was, and what was genuinely hard about it.
3. One bug that took you more than a day to find, and that you found on your own. How you eventually got it.
If it looks like a fit, the next step is a small task — a few hours of real work on something we would actually ship. Then we both decide.
