The File Transfer System (FTS) Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure enterprise file transfer services using Fortra GoAnywhere as the primary MFT platform. This role ensures compliant, effective, and reliable data movement between internal systems, cloud environments, and external partners. The engineer collaborates across teams to build automated workflows, maintain operational integrity, and deliver seamless partner interactions.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with Fortra GoAnywhere MFT (strongly preferred).

- Expertise in secure file transfer protocols: SFTP, FTPS, FTP, HTTPS, AS2.

- Knowledge of PGP/GPG encryption, certificate management, and key management.

- Understanding of firewall rules, NAT, IP whitelisting, routing, DNS, and load balancers.

- Scripting experience (Shell, Bash, PowerShell, Python).

- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, Splunk,



AppDynamics).

- Cloud integration knowledge (Azure/AWS/GCP) is advantageous.

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management.

- Ability to operate in mission‑critical, high‑availability environments.

- Excellent documentation and process discipline.

Preferred / Good to Have Skills:

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including data pipelines and integration capabilities.

- Power BI skills—report building, dashboarding, data modelling, and sharing insights from transfer logs or operational data.

- Familiarity with other MFT tools.

- Cloud or security certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP, CISSP, etc.).

- Background in retail, supply chain, or large enterprise environments.
