Role Description This is a full-time, in office Formulation Scientist role based in Sampla.
The Formulation
Scientist will design and develop formulations for niche generics and differentiated pharmaceutical products, including pre-formulation studies, excipient selection, and process optimization. Daily responsibilities include planning and executing laboratory experiments, generating and interpreting data, and preparing technical reports, development protocols, and batch records. The role involves supporting scale-up and technology transfer to manufacturing,
troubleshooting formulation and process issues, and ensuring compliance with cGMP, regulatory guidelines, and internal quality standards.
The Formulation
Scientist will collaborate closely with R&D;, analytical, manufacturing, and IP teams to ensure smooth product development and timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Formulation and Research, with experience in developing injections, solid, liquid, or semi-solid dosage forms.
- Hands-on Laboratory Skills in formulation development, including handling lab equipment, conducting experiments, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D;), including experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving for product optimization.
- Exposure to Technology Transfer activities, supporting scale-up, process validation, and coordination with manufacturing teams.
- Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline; advanced degree is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory expectations for generic and differentiated products.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with niche generics, Human or animal health formulations, or IP-sensitive products is a plus.
