Leva Home Lifts Pvt. Ltd. specializes in providing home lift solutions designed to improve accessibility, comfort, safety, and convenience for residential customers.

We are looking for motivated and technically inclined candidates to join our team as Home Lift Installation Technicians.

This position is open to freshers as well as experienced candidates from Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication, and related technical backgrounds.

For Freshers

Selected freshers will undergo 6 months of structured on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors.

During the training period, candidates will gain practical experience in:

- Mechanical fitting
- Welding and fabrication
- Electrical wiring
- Home lift installation
- Testing and commissioning
- Maintenance and servicing
- Troubleshooting
- Safety procedures
- Customer-site work The objective of the training is to develop candidates into independent and professionally skilled Home Lift Installation Technicians.

Position Overview The Home Lift Installation Technician will be responsible for assisting with and carrying out the mechanical, fabrication, welding, electrical installation, testing, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of home lift systems.

The candidate will work as part of a technical team and will be trained to understand the complete installation process from fabrication and mechanical assembly to electrical connection, testing, commissioning, and customer handover.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mechanical Fitting & Installation

Install and assemble home lift structures and mechanical components. Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, levelling, and assembly.
- Install guide rails, brackets, frames, platforms, doors, gates, supports, and other lift components.
- Take accurate measurements before installation and fitting.
- Use hand tools, power tools, drilling machines, grinders, and measuring instruments.
- Ensure proper alignment and smooth operation of mechanical components.
- Assist senior technicians during installation and commissioning.
- Carry out adjustments and corrections when required.

1. Welding & Fabrication

* Perform welding and fabrication work related to home lift structures and components.
- Weld frames, brackets, supports, platforms, gates, doors, enclosures, and other fabricated components.
- Carry out ARC/Stick, MIG, TIG, or other welding processes as required.
- Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, bending, and fitting of metal components.
- Read and understand basic fabrication drawings and measurements.
- Perform tack welding and final welding.
- Check dimensions, alignment, squareness, and level of fabricated components.
- Grind and finish welded joints properly.
- Identify and correct welding and fabrication defects.
- Assist with fabrication modifications at customer/project sites when required.

1. Electrical Installation

* Carry out and assist with electrical installation of home lift systems.
- Install and connect control panels and electrical components.
- Perform wiring for motors, controllers, sensors, switches, lights, fans, and other electrical equipment.
- Install and connect limit switches, safety switches, door switches, sensors, and related components.
- Carry out control wiring and other lift-related electrical connections.
- Ensure proper cable routing, dressing, termination, and insulation.
- Assist with motor, controller, relay, contactor, and safety circuit connections.
- Ensure proper electrical earthing and safety.
- Read and understand basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

1. Testing & Commissioning

* Assist in testing and commissioning of newly installed home lifts.
- Check mechanical alignment and operation before commissioning.
- Test electrical circuits and connections.
- Check sensors, limit switches, door switches, safety circuits, and control systems.
- Check voltage, continuity, and other electrical parameters as required.
- Identify and rectify mechanical or electrical issues.
- Assist senior technicians in final testing and commissioning.




- Ensure the lift is operating safely and smoothly before customer handover.

1. Service & Maintenance

* Carry out preventive maintenance as instructed.
- Attend service and breakdown calls.
- Inspect mechanical, electrical, and fabricated components.
- Identify potential faults and report them to the supervisor.
- Assist in repairing or replacing defective components.
- Carry out adjustments and corrections to maintain proper lift operation.
- Maintain service and maintenance records.
- Follow scheduled maintenance procedures.

1. Troubleshooting

The technician will be trained to identify and troubleshoot issues related to:

Mechanical

- Alignment
- Levelling
- Guide rails
- Doors and gates
- Platforms
- Frames and brackets
- Mechanical fittings

Electrical

- Wiring
- Motors
- Control panels
- Controllers
- Sensors
- Limit switches
- Relays
- Contactors
- Safety circuits
- Power supply The technician must report complex issues to the senior technician or supervisor and carry out corrective work as instructed.

1. Customer-Site Responsibilities

* Travel to customer homes and project locations for installation and service work.
- Coordinate with senior technicians, supervisors, contractors, and customers.
- Maintain professional behaviour at customer premises.
- Protect customer property during installation and service work.
- Keep the work area clean and organised.
- Handle company tools, equipment, and materials responsibly.
- Complete assigned work within the scheduled timeline.
- Provide work progress updates to the supervisor.
- Assist with customer handover and basic operational guidance when required.

1. Safety Responsibilities

Safety is a critical part of the role.

The technician must

- Follow all company safety procedures.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow protected procedures while working with electrical systems.
- Take proper precautions while welding and cutting.
- Maintain fire safety during welding activities.
- Follow safe working procedures around lift shafts and machinery.
- Take appropriate precautions while working at heights.
- Use tools and equipment correctly.
- Maintain proper housekeeping at the worksite.
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, equipment damage, or technical issues immediately.

Eligibility & Qualification

Freshers

Candidates with any of the following qualifications are preferred:
- ITI – Fitter
- ITI – Electrician
- ITI – Welder
- ITI – Mechanical
- ITI – Electrical
- Diploma – Mechanical
- Diploma – Electrical
- Diploma – Automobile
- Other relevant technical qualifications

Candidates with a basic technical background and strong interest in mechanical, electrical, welding, or installation work may also be considered.

No Prior Lift Experience Required

Freshers can apply.

Selected freshers will receive

6 MONTHS ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

Training will be provided by experienced technicians and supervisors.

- Basic understanding of mechanical components.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings.

Welding & Fabrication Skills
- Basic to advanced welding knowledge depending on experience.
- Knowledge of ARC/Stick, MIG, or TIG welding.
- Metal cutting and grinding.
- Basic fabrication and fitting skills.




- Ability to maintain proper welding quality.

Electrical Skills

- Basic to advanced electrical knowledge depending on experience.
- Electrical wiring and connections.
- Basic knowledge of motors and control panels.
- Knowledge of sensors, switches, relays, and contactors.
- Ability to use a multimeter and basic testing instruments.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting.

Important

Candidates do not need to be experts in all three areas when joining.

Language Requirements

Preferred Languages

Malayalam:* Good working knowledge preferred.

English:* Basic to good communication skills preferred.

Hindi:* Knowledge will be an added advantage.

Tamil:* Knowledge will be an added advantage.

Kannada:* Knowledge will be an added advantage.

Candidates who can communicate in multiple languages will be given preference, particularly for customer-site installation and service activities.

- Willingness to travel to customer and project sites.
- Willingness to work in workshop and field environments.
- Willingness to work at heights where required.
- Valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in lift, mechanical, electrical, fabrication, welding, or machinery installation will be an advantage.
- Good physical fitness for technical and site work.

6-Month On-the-Job Training Program

After successful completion of training, candidates may be assigned responsibilities based on their skills, performance, and technical competency.

Designation will depend on qualification, practical skills, relevant experience, and performance.
