Company Description IMA, founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York as the National Association of Cost Accountants, is a long-established professional body dedicated to advancing management accounting. Renamed the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in 1957, the organization now has its headquarters in Montvale, New Jersey, with regional offices across the Americas, Asia/Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East/India.

In 1969, IMA formed the Management Accounting Practices Committee to promote management accounting as a core discipline aligned with IMA’s vision. Today, IMA supports finance and accounting professionals worldwide through thought leadership, skilled standards, and career development opportunities.

Role Description This full-time hybrid role for Finance Positions is based in Bengaluru, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home.

Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, supporting accounting operations such as reconciliations and journal entries, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The role involves using analytical skills to interpret financial data, generate insights, and support decision-making for internal stakeholders.



Team members will collaborate across departments, communicate financial information clearly, and ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and standards.

The position also includes contributing to process improvements and supporting periodic reporting and audits.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with the ability to prepare and interpret Financial Statements.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting financial information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or CA are an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial/accounting software; familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
- Experience in management accounting, reporting, or financial analysis is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
