Department: Finance & Accounts
Job Purpose The Manager Finance is responsible for managing financial accounting, statutory and regulatory compliance, audits, MIS reporting, cash flow management, and treasury operations within an NBFC framework. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, timely closures, RBI compliance, and effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Statutory & Tax Compliance
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and related reconciliations.
- Monitor amendments in tax laws applicable to NBFCs and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and handle departmental queries.
2. RBI & NBFC Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare, review, and submit RBI returns, including DNBS returns and other applicable regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, NBFC prudential norms, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain documentation for RBI inspections and regulatory audits.
3. Accounts Management & Books Closure
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual books closure as per AS / applicable Framework.
- Review journal entries, ledger balances, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate recognition of income, expenses, and provisions specific to NBFC operations.
4. Audit Coordination & Closure
- Coordinate Internal Audit and Statutory Audit activities.
- Provide audit data, resolve observations, and ensure timely closure of audit points.
- Assist in implementation of internal control improvements.
5. Financial Statements & Reporting
- Prepare Periodical financial statements including Balance Sheet, Statement of Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statement, and Notes to Accounts.
- Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance of financial disclosures.
- Support management in financial analysis and decision-making.
6. MIS & Investor Reporting
- Prepare Monthly Management MIS and Investor MIS including portfolio performance, income analysis, and cost tracking.
- Perform variance analysis and present insights to senior management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
7. Cash Flow, Treasury & Billing
- Prepare and monitor cash flow statements and liquidity position.
- Manage treasury operations, fund utilization, and bank relationships.
- Oversee billing, disbursements, and collections to ensure optimal cash management.
8. Debt & Repayment Management
- Track borrowings, debt repayment schedules, interest servicing, and covenant compliance.
- Ensure timely repayment of loans and statutory dues.
- Liaise with lenders, banks, and financial institutions.
9. Team Handling & Coordination
- Supervise and guide finance executives and accounts staff.
- Review work outputs, ensure adherence to timelines, and maintain process discipline.
- Support training, performance monitoring, and team development initiatives.
