Role Description The Field Surveyor role at Goldenbirds Consultants & Services Private Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Udaipur.

The Field

Surveyor will conduct structured surveys and field visits, gather accurate data from households, businesses, or specified locations, and record findings using digital or paper-based tools.

Responsibilities include following predefined survey methodologies, ensuring data quality, taking clear notes and observations, and reporting daily progress to the supervisor. The role also involves coordinating with local stakeholders, adhering to safety and ethical guidelines, and supporting other field activities as needed.

Surveyor will work closely with the project team to ensure timely completion of survey targets and contribute to high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

- Strong fieldwork capability, including willingness to travel locally within Udaipur and work in outdoor and community settings.
- Solid data collection and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in recording survey responses.
- Basic computer and mobile device proficiency, including use of survey apps, spreadsheets, or data entry tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact respectfully with respondents, colleagues, and supervisors.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities to meet daily and weekly survey targets.
- Ability to follow instructions, comply with survey protocols, and maintain confidentiality of respondent information.
- Minimum educational qualification of high school diploma; a degree or diploma in social sciences, geography, statistics, or related fields is an advantage.
- Previous experience in field surveys, market research, census work, or social audits is preferred but not mandatory.
- Comfort working in diverse communities and commitment to non-discriminatory, ethical practices in the field.
