Position Overview
Location
Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas The Field Title Agent is responsible for executing title research and related fieldwork with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. Working under the guidance of a Title Agent or Title Supervisor, this role ensures that all title tasks are completed thoroughly and that final deliverables meet established project and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow directives provided by the Title Agent or Title Supervisor to complete assigned title research tasks.
- Index tracts of land and collect all relevant documents, including deeds, leases, and supporting ownership materials.
- Compile and transmit completed indexes and documentation to the supervising agent or title team.
- Assist in researching ownership gaps, probate filings, and district clerk records to confirm complete and accurate title history.
- Conduct detailed investigations into vesting, surface title, and mineral title when required.
- Utilize designated project-specific platforms and software systems accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold data integrity throughout the research and reporting process.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure that deliverables align with project timelines and quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as directed to support overall project success.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must have a minimum of 3 Years in the field
- Experience working in Utilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of oil and gas mineral title and surface title across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently locate, review, and analyze online records to complete chains of title.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining collaboration and communication with team members.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Adaptable and dependable, with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to adjust work schedules or work overtime as needed based on project demands.
- Commitment to adhering to company policies, safety standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily a field-based role, this will require travel to the area of project
- Regular activities include sitting, reaching, handling documents, communicating verbally, and performing data entry.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or lifting items up to 25 pounds may be required.
- Must possess visual acuity sufficient for reviewing records, maps, and detailed documents, including color recognition and focus adjustment.
- Must provide a redacted sample of your work, as well as a minimum of 3 references from your supervisor, and/or the PM of the project to which you were on
