Role Description (Fresher)

We are searching for a talented, passionate, self-motivated Fashion Designer with interest in art & product development to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of La Paz's collections. You will be responsible for working alongside the creative director and other designers for the entire design process, from the initial concept sketch to the final production-ready styles.

We are looking for a doer and not just someone who talks about doing, a multi-tasker. This is an on-site role located in Gurugram.

What we are looking for

- Relevant Fashion Design Degree
- Understanding of Knitwear and Woven Textiles
- Good illustration skills
- Print Making
- Experience with embroidery and steps related to it like development, Kha-kha making, various techniques, etc.




- Understanding of various knit techniques
- Tech pack and spec sheet making
- Understanding of pattern making and fitting
- Ability to take designs from drawings to live form
- Passion for fashion and creative design
- Knowledge of sustainable and conscious fashion practices
- Attention to detail and strong visual sense
- Excellent communication with international clients and vendors
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough trend research and develop ideas along with sketches
- Create tech packs and spec sheets
- Vendor coordination & source high-quality raw materials
- create samples and get proper fittings done
- track orders and complete their dispatch in time, collaborating with the logistics team
- manage expenses and knows how to do costing
- manage stock

Qualifications

- 1-2 years experience as a Fashion Designer
- Good understanding in Knitwear Design
- Proven portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of design principles, sketching abilities, and knowledge of swimwear and resort wear.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality sustainable garments.
