Job Opening: Part-Time Fashion Design Assistant – Darlet (Women's Fashion Brand)

Darlet is a rapidly growing women’s fashion brand based in Ludhiana, and we are looking for a passionate and reliable Fashion Design Assistant to join our core team.

This is a permanent part-time role perfectly suited for a creative professional or a final-year student seeking a stable position that offers real responsibility and growth within a fashion label. We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment designed to balance focused work from home with essential in-person collaboration.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities):

You will be a vital part of the creative process, assisting the head designer with the end-to-end journey of our collections, from initial concept to final production and launch.

Design & Development:

- Assist in design research, trend analysis, and mood board creation.
- ⁠Prepare detailed technical sketches (tech packs) and design specifications.
- ⁠Support the sampling process and fit sessions.

Production & Sourcing:

- Coordinate with local manufacturing vendors and karigars in Ludhiana.
- ⁠Conduct fabric and trims sourcing in the local market.

Opportunity To Travel: Accompany the senior team on occasional outstation trips for fabric sourcing and production oversight. (All travel and accommodation expenses are fully covered/reimbursed by the company.)

Operations & Shoots:

- Assist in managing inventory and sample organization.
- ⁠Be present on-set during brand photo shoots to assist with styling, garment preparation, and logistics.

Schedule & Location (The Hybrid Model): We require commitment and reliability,



but respect your schedule.

- Primary Work Location: Work From Home (WFH) for research, sketching, and digital tasks.
- ⁠In-Person Requirement: Mandatory in-person meetings/work sessions at our Ludhiana location/studio. These occur on alternate days for approximately 3–4 hours per session (timing is flexible, typically scheduled post-college/afternoon hours).
- ⁠Shoot & Travel Availability: You must be available on specific, pre-scheduled dates for brand shoots and occasional outstation travel.

Who Can Apply (Requirements)

- Experience: Proven experience in fashion design (previous work experience or strong academic project portfolio).
- ⁠Education: Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design (Recent graduates or final-year students with manageable schedules are welcome).
- ⁠Location: Must currently reside in Ludhiana.
- ⁠Skills: Strong fashion sketching abilities (manual or digital), proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop is a strong advantage. Knowledge of garment construction.
- ⁠Attributes: Highly organized, proactive, eager to take ownership of tasks, and passionate about women's wear.

Compensation & Benefits: Fixed Monthly Salary: ₹10,000 per month.

Outstation Travel Compensation: All outstation expenses related to business travel (sourcing/manufacturing) are fully covered by the company.
