Role Description

Faculty members at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor levels will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, mentoring learners, and contributing to curriculum design and continuous academic improvement in their respective disciplines. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting lectures, tutorials, laboratories or studio sessions, evaluating student performance, and maintaining accurate academic records. Faculty will actively engage in research, publications, and funded projects, as well as guide student research, final-year projects, and innovation or startup initiatives.

Additional duties include participating in departmental and university committees, supporting accreditation and quality assurance activities, and fostering collaborations with industry and other institutions. This is a full-time, on-site role located at the MR Deemed to be University campus.

Qualifications

- Relevant postgraduate degree (minimum Master’s) in the applicable discipline; Ph.D. in the relevant field preferred or required as per UGC/AICTE norms.
- Demonstrated teaching competence, including experience with modern pedagogies, outcome-based education, and use of digital tools or learning management systems.
- Strong research profile or potential, evidenced by publications in refereed journals, conference presentations, patents, or funded research/project involvement.
- Ability to design and update curricula aligned with industry needs, emerging technologies, and national/international academic standards.
- Commitment to student mentoring, academic advising, and inclusive classroom practices that support diverse learning needs.
- Experience or interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, startup mentoring, and participation in institutional innovation or incubation activities.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to departmental growth.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF) and willingness to contribute to quality
- B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering or allied disciplines.
- Strong academic record with teaching and research experience in the relevant specialization.
- Qualifications and experience as per UGC guidelines .
