KPMG's Forensic practice helps organizations identify, assess and mitigate risks arising from fraud, misconduct, integrity concerns, geopolitical developments and strategic business challenges. Our Corporate Intelligence team provides actionable intelligence through extensive research and analysis of companies, individuals, industries, markets, political environments and emerging risks.
The team supports clients in making informed business decisions by conducting sophisticated intelligence gathering through public domain sources, proprietary databases, media analysis, stakeholder outreach and primary research.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct primary and secondary research using public domain sources, subscription databases, regulatory publications, company filings, media sources and specialized intelligence platforms.
- Perform corporate, market, geopolitical, reputational and strategic intelligence research across multiple industries and jurisdictions.
- Gather, validate and analyze information from diverse sources to identify key risks, opportunities and emerging trends.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, industry outreach and other forms of primary research where required.
- Support intelligence assignments involving geopolitical risk assessments, market-entry evaluations, business partner assessments and strategic due diligence.
- Monitor political, regulatory, economic and security developments that may impact client operations and investments.
- Analyze complex data and information to identify potential red flags, reputational concerns and strategic risks.
- Prepare concise, insightful and high-quality intelligence reports, presentations and client-ready deliverables.
- Engage confidently with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, communicate findings and provide research support.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards and established methodologies.
- Stay current with global events, geopolitical developments,
regulatory changes and industry trends relevant to intelligence engagements.
- Contribute to knowledge development initiatives and support continuous improvement of research methodologies and practices.

- Strong research capabilities with experience in identifying and evaluating credible sources.

- Self-driven, intellectually curious and eager to learn about global business, political and economic developments.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience in primary and secondary research , intelligence, due diligence, risk advisory, consulting, market research or related domains.
- Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to:
- Geopolitical research
- Political risk analysis
- Corporate intelligence
- Strategic intelligence
- Market intelligence
- Due diligence and investigative research
- Experience using research platforms, databases and media monitoring tools will be an added advantage.
Qualification
- Graduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, Arts or related disciplines.
- Postgraduate qualification in International Relations, Geopolitics, Public Policy, Risk Management or related fields will be an advantage
