Position description: Join Jindal Ferrous Limited as a key technical leader within the Blast Furnace - E&A; department, where you will oversee the engineering and automation aspects critical to the productive operation of blast furnace processes. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in electrical and automation engineering, focused on enhancing operational reliability, safety, and productivity in a mining and metals environment.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions, maintain high standards of equipment performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and automation systems specific to blast furnace operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with process engineers and production teams to optimize control systems and instrumentation for improved blast furnace performance.




- Manage troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical and automation failures, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and automation upgrades to enhance process control and data acquisition capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies in all engineering activities within the department.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project proposals to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical and automation equipment.
- Monitor and control project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
