Job Title: ETP Operator

Job Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) as per standard operating procedures.
- Check and maintain pH, flow, chemical dosing, sludge levels, and other operating parameters.
- Handle chemicals safely for coagulation, flocculation, pH correction, and other treatment processes.
- Monitor pumps, blowers, agitators, dosing systems, filters, and other ETP equipment.
- Collect wastewater and treated-water samples and conduct routine testing such as pH, TSS, COD/BOD, as applicable.
- Maintain daily ETP operation logs, chemical consumption records, and test reports.
- Ensure treated effluent meets applicable environmental standards and company requirements.
- Carry out backwashing, sludge handling, filter cleaning, and routine housekeeping.
- Identify equipment/process problems and report breakdowns to the maintenance or ETP in-charge.
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements,



and environmental regulations.
- Assist during inspections, audits, and environmental compliance activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- ITI / Diploma / relevant technical qualification preferred.
- Experience in ETP/STP operation is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and chemical handling.
- Ability to operate pumps, blowers, dosing systems, and basic laboratory instruments.
- Positive record-keeping and observation skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
