: 1. Cost Estimation & Pricing

- Study customer RFQs, technical specifications, and engineering drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, materials, and special features.
- Break down each part into individual manufacturing operations machining sequence, setup time, cycle time, tool requirements.
- Estimate material cost based on raw material availability, conversion size, scrap allowance, and current market pricing.
- Generate competitive pricing aligned with business strategy (margin expectations, market competition).

2. Technical & Commercial Evaluation

- Perform manufacturability feasibility study along with Engineering and Production to identify risk areas, special tooling needs, and alternate methods.
- Validate cycle time by coordinating with Production engineers and referencing historical database.
- Engage with SCM to collect supplier quotes, raw material prices, special process rates, MOQs, and lead times.
- Evaluate make-or-buy decisions based on internal capability, capacity load, and commercial benefit.
- Collaborate with Quality to incorporate aerospace special requirements (AS9100, NADCAP, customer specs).

3. Proposal & Tender Support

- Prepare cost sheets, price breakdown formats, and bid submission documentation as per customer template.
- Participate in internal bid review meetings—technical review, commercial review, and risk analysis.
- Support Program/BD teams during customer clarifications, negotiation calls, and pricing justifications.
- Track proposal status and support during contract finalization—PO review, cost adherence check.

4. Cost Data Management & Continuous Improvement

- Maintain and update cost database: Machine rates, Standard cycle times, Material cost trends, Vendor price lists,



Historical project learnings
- Implement should-costing models using analytical tools/software.
- Conduct variance analysis for estimated vs. actual cost after production start to refine future estimates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and design-to-cost options (alternate material grades, improved process flow, optimized routing).

5. Customer & Audit Compliance / Documentation

- Ensure alignment with AS9100, specific customer standards, export regulations, and traceability requirements while estimating cost.
- Create structured documentation to support cost audits by customers or internal finance teams.
- Prepare inputs for long-term pricing agreements (LTAs), cost escalation index, and contract renewals.

6. Adherence to Safety, Standards and Compliance

- Promote and maintain a culture of safety, positive housekeeping, and adherence to operational standards.
- Ensure adherence to systems and documentation as per AS9100, EMS, OHSAS & ISMS, and customer-specific requirements.
- Valuing the information received & effort spent in creating every piece of information. Ensuring the right information is accessed by right individuals. Ensuring Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of information.
- Responsible for controlling the usage of energy sources for Environmental Protection and Energy Security for sustainable growth.

- Degree – Mechanical / Production / Aerospace

Functional/Technical Competencies Required:

1. Knowledge of Machining and fabrication processes
2. Knowledge of all special process like Surface treatment, Heat treatment, NDT, Testing, etc.
3. Knowledge of Risk Analysis, Tax structures, duties, Inco-terms and other commercial terms of quotation, Raw materials, its properties and behaviour
4. Basic knowledge of Project management
5. Knowledge of MS Excel , Autocad , Any 3d Modelling software( Preferred)
