Role & responsibilities

1. Prepare preliminary design using international codes like ASME, TEMA, PD5500 etc.

2. Estimate cost for the project based on the preliminary design

3. Optimize the design and raw material quantity and ensure lowest possible cost of major raw materials

4. Ensure timeliness of offers against firm enquiries with potential of orders

5. Coordinate with various departments for current products and arrive at the best price

6. Draft and authorize proposals and share with Marketing team

7. Keep track of trends in material and duty structure

8. Float enquiries for materials and expedite for the best possible material rates

9. Summarize and study firm enquiry quoted

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and PV Elite software.

- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards, including ASME, TEMA, and ISO systems & procedures.

- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and process sequences for process equipment.





- Working knowledge of ERP systems.

- Strong result orientation with execution excellence and focus on meeting timelines and targets.

- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.

- Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to understand and address customer requirements.

- Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Estimation / Costing within the Process Equipment manufacturing industry.

- Experience in estimation and costing of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Reactors, and other process equipment.

- Hands-on experience with international engineering codes, particularly ASME and TEMA.

- Exposure to preliminary design, material estimation, cost optimization, proposal preparation, vendor coordination, and commercial evaluation.
