Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Tool & Die / Mechatronics

Proks Plastics Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a technically strong and experienced Tool Room Engineer to join our manufacturing team at our Chakan plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for mould maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of plastic injection moulds.
- Carry out mould inspection, breakdown analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate and support mould trials, mould setting and process-related mould corrections.
- Ensure moulds are maintained as per the defined PM schedule and maintenance standards.
- Identify mould-related defects such as flash, short moulding, sink marks, warpage, parting-line issues, etc., and coordinate corrective actions.
- Handle mould assembly, dismantling, fitting and basic tool-room activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Process Engineering teams for mould-related issues.
- Coordinate with external mould/tooling vendors for mould modification, repair and development activities.
- Maintain proper records of mould history, PM, breakdowns, modifications and spare parts.
- Ensure availability and control of critical mould spares.




- Support current mould development, mould validation and successful mould trials.
- Drive improvements in mould life, reliability and maintenance cost.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, safety and standard operating procedures in the tool room.

Desired Skills ✅ Strong knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulds

✅ Knowledge of mould components, hot runner systems, sliders, lifters, ejector systems, cooling circuits, etc.

✅ Experience in mould breakdown troubleshooting and preventive maintenance

✅ Knowledge of mould trial and mould correction activities

✅ Good understanding of engineering drawings and measuring instruments

✅ Vendor coordination and problem-solving skills

✅ Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and TPM will be an advantage

What We’re Looking For

A hands-on professional who can independently handle mould maintenance, breakdowns, preventive maintenance and mould improvement activities in a fast-paced plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment.
