Role Description

Conduct routine testing of electrical control panels, MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, APFC, and automation panels.

Verify panel wiring, component ratings, terminal connections, and assembly quality.

Perform insulation resistance (IR), continuity, high-voltage (Hi-Pot), and functional testing.

Check control logic, PLC I/O signals, interlocks, and communication protocols.

Validate panel operation as per approved electrical drawings and customer specifications.

Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify testing-related issues before dispatch.

Prepare and maintain testing reports, inspection records, and checklists.





Ensure all test certificates and quality documents are completed accurately.

Maintain records of non-conformities and corrective actions.

Ensure panels comply with IEC, IS, and applicable industry standards.

Follow quality management procedures and safety guidelines.

Participate in internal quality audits and process improvement initiatives.

Coordinate with Design, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.

Support customer inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

Provide feedback to manufacturing and engineering teams for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in test engineering, including design and implementation of testing procedures for electrical control panels.

Hands-on experience in test execution and working with test cases for electrical and control systems.

Practical knowledge of testing methodologies and tools used in industrial and automation environments.

Experience with functional testing of control panels, including verification of wiring, logic, protection devices, and safety interlocks.

Diploma or degree in EE/EC/IC or a related discipline.

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control drawings.

Familiarity with relevant electrical standards and safety practices (e.g., IEC, IS standards) is advantageous.

Attention to detail, systematic problem-solving skills, and capability to work collaboratively on-site in a fast-paced industrial setting.
