Company Description Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar is a specialized training, production, design, and consultancy center established through technical cooperation between the Government of India and the Government of Denmark. The center supports the growing industrial demand for precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, molds, gauges, and other high-accuracy components, as well as skilled toolmakers, designers, and maintenance professionals.

With strong infrastructural support from the Government of Odisha, CTTC launched its training activities in 1991 and tool production in 1995. CTTC offers industry-oriented long- and short-term programs in areas such as CAD/CAM, tool design and manufacturing, CNC machining, machine maintenance, industrial automation, and more, emphasizing practical, hands-on learning. The organization follows the principle that sustained practice leads to professional excellence.

Role Description The Electrical Technician will work on-site at CTTC in Sadar in a full-time capacity, supporting the maintenance, operation, and safety of electrical systems and equipment across the facility. Daily responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective electrical maintenance, diagnosing faults, and troubleshooting issues in machinery, tools, and infrastructure.

The role involves installing, inspecting, and testing electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and institutional guidelines.





The Electrical

Technician will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and trainees to support continuous operations, assist in upgrades or modifications to electrical systems, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Electricity and Electrical Engineering principles, with the ability to apply them in an industrial training and production environment.
- Hands-on experience in Electrical Maintenance, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of industrial machinery and facility systems.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting electrical faults, diagnosing root causes, and implementing reliable repair solutions.
- Practical knowledge of Electrical Equipment used in industrial, training, and workshop settings, including safe operation and handling.
- Relevant technical qualification such as ITI, diploma, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Awareness of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices, with a strong focus on protected work methods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and trainees.
- Prior experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or training-center environment is an advantage.
