ABOUT THE ROLE

F5 Global Talent is hiring an experienced Electrical Estimator with strong hands-on experience estimating U.S. multifamily residential construction projects.

This is not a standard quantity takeoff role. Electrical plans may be missing or incomplete, so you must be able to determine the full electrical scope by reviewing architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and related construction drawings.

You’ll prepare detailed Excel-based electrical estimates for multifamily projects typically ranging from 20 to 100 residential units, using the client’s established estimating methodology.

SIGNIFICANT: This role requires 5+ years of electrical estimating experience and direct multifamily residential estimating experience. If your experience is limited to taking quantities from complete electrical drawings, this role is not the right fit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Prepare detailed electrical quantity takeoffs for U.S. multifamily residential construction projects
- Determine the full electrical scope from architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and related drawings when electrical plans are unavailable
- Apply electrical code knowledge to identify required devices, circuits, and components
- Estimate lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, dedicated circuits, kitchen and appliance circuits, HVAC and mechanical power
- Identify smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, GFCI receptacles, and other code-required devices
- Prepare structured Excel-based estimating worksheets using the client’s established templates and methodology
- Organize takeoffs by service area, including common areas, cellars, floors, roofs, outdoor areas, and apartment units
- Maintain consistent terminology and organized documentation throughout each estimate
- Produce accurate, review-ready estimates with minimal supervision after onboarding




- Participate in review meetings and incorporate estimating feedback

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- 5+ years of hands-on electrical estimating experience on U.S. construction projects
- Direct multifamily residential estimating experience — required
- Ability to determine electrical scope without relying on complete electrical plans
- Strong ability to read architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other construction drawings
- Experience estimating lighting, outlets, switches, appliance circuits, HVAC power, mechanical power, and other electrical components
- Strong understanding of U.S. electrical systems and estimating practices
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for structured estimating templates
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Ability to work independently after initial onboarding and training
- Availability to work full U.S. business hours, approximately 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST

NICE TO HAVE

- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its practical application to estimating
- Experience estimating multifamily apartment projects ranging from approximately 20 to 100 units
- Previous experience working directly with U.S.-based electrical contractors or general contractors
- Experience interpreting architectural, plumbing, HVAC, sprinkler, and other disciplines to develop electrical scope
- Ability to quickly learn client-specific estimating methodologies and Excel formats
- Experience organizing takeoffs by floor, unit type, common area, and other service areas
