About the role

CGF Bioenergy operates the 100 TPD cattle-dung based Compressed Bio-Gas plant at Gwalior. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to own the entire electrical system, from the 33 kV incomer down to the flameproof lighting in the digester area. This is a gas plant, so hazardous-area electrical integrity is the most significant part of the job.

What you will be responsible for

- Power systems: 33 kV incomer, VCB, 1000 kVA transformer, 2000 A PCC, MCC, APFC (200 kVAR), 500 kVA DG on AMF, UPS and battery systems. Keep them available, tested and safe.
- Motors and drives: All plant drives including two 75 kW VFD-driven gas compressors. Insulation testing, fault diagnosis, VFD troubleshooting.
- Hazardous-area integrity: Maintain the Ex equipment register and inspection schedule. Flameproof enclosures, glands, gas detection and interlocks. Nothing non-Ex enters a classified area.
- Earthing and lightning protection: Earth pit testing, bonding continuity (especially at the CBG dispensing station), lightning protection.
- Instrumentation support: Field loop checks, panel power, PLC/SCADA electrical interface. Coordinate NABL calibration and Legal Metrology stamping.
- Compliance: Keep the plant inspection-ready for CEA, the Electrical Inspectorate and PESO.



Liaise with the DISCOM on metering and outages.
- Maintenance and safety: Run the preventive maintenance schedule, issue electrical isolation permits and LOTO, log all work in the plant ERP, lead electrical safety training.

What we are looking for:

Essential

- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or EEE. Diploma acceptable with 2 additional years of experience.
- 4 to 6 years in process plant O&M;, including 2+ years on an 11 kV or higher installation.
- Hands-on experience in a hazardous or classified area such as CBG, biogas, oil and gas, CNG / LPG, or chemical.

Preferred

- Training in hazardous-area electrical (IEC 60079 / IS 5572)
- VFD commissioning experience
- PLC / SCADA and field instrumentation exposure

How performance is measured

- Zero electrical safety incidents
- 100% of hazardous-area (Ex) inspections completed on schedule
- 100% calibration and statutory stamping validity
- 95% or better preventive maintenance adherence
- Minimised unplanned downtime from electrical faults
- Power factor maintained and DG running hours controlled
