Role Description The Donor Relations Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Gudalur, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners. The role involves managing regular communication with donors, including updates on programs, impact reports, and acknowledgments, while ensuring a positive and consistent donor experience.
Day-to-day tasks include coordinating donor visits and events, maintaining accurate donor records, supporting annual and planned giving campaigns, and collaborating with program teams to gather success stories and data for fundraising materials.
The Donor Relations
Officer will also assist in identifying new donor prospects, preparing proposals and presentations, and tracking contributions to ensure timely recognition and stewardship. This role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders to align donor engagement activities with Sevalaya’s mission and strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Donor Relations and Philanthropy, with experience in building long-term donor engagement and stewardship.
- Candidates should possess skills in Planned Giving and Annual Giving to support structured fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication for reports, proposals, and donor outreach.
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, CSR partnerships, or development roles is beneficial.
- Ability to manage donor databases or CRM tools, track interactions, and generate basic reports is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred.
- Solid interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse communities and teams.
- Comfort working on-site in Gudalur, with occasional travel to meet donors or visit project locations as needed.
