NOur client is a Global Consulting firm and team is involved in Financial Reporting and Commercial Insurance business, Operations & Risk, and Internal Finance & Life Actuarial Support.

NGENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

NIncumbent would be responsible for the preparation of Financial Reporting, Planning and Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Information (MI) Reporting, and the Financial Controllership function.

NJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Chartered Accountant with 18+ years of strong work experience and should have worked in Big 4 organisations.
N
- Role requires being a hands-on People Manager and should have led teams of CAs and managed a team size of 80-100 members, managing the client engagement and/or independently running the large projects of Transitions or Delivery in Finance Operations in an offshoring environment.
N
- Financial Reporting, Planning and Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Information (MI) Reporting and Financial Controllership function.
N
- Understanding of Financial Governance and Internal Controls.
N
- Partnering with senior stakeholders, managing working relations and providing excellent customer service.
N
- Leading & successfully implementing and partnering in driving change in Operations and Operating Model.
N
- Driving productivity & developing a culture of measurable performance by implementing Operations Metrics-Delivery and Performance.
N
- Delegation and People Development.
N
- Working on multiple regular and Adhoc projects and delivering excellent results.
N
- Managing and developingteams of Finance Professionals and developing a highly engaged/outperforming team.

- Partnering in strategicdecisions on Business Development and Operating Model

- Responsible for managing and leading multiple client engagements for Domiciles based in the US, EMEA and/or Asia.
N
- Managing and leading all the operational & customer service aspects, i.E., SLAs, Service Delivery, People Management, and Technology engagement, etc.
N
- Drive and implement theChange (People, Process and Operations) for the Growth, Stabilization, and effective Operating model in alignment with the organization.
N
- Actively engaging with Domiciles and driving towards business growth.
N
- Exhibit robust domain knowledge in resolving issues, implementing change, escalating, and dealing with Customers across Geographies.
N
- Effectively planning, leading, and managing the team of Finance Professionals with multiple layers of reporting. (Total org up to ~15 to 25 colleagues).
N
- Supporting the Head of Business with a strategic outlook and partnering in achieving the mid- to long-term objectives of the larger team.
N
- People Retention & Development and working towards achieving a high level of colleagues' engagement to build outperforming teams.
N
- Constant endeavor towards the Budget and help manage the Budget.
N
- Take ownership and ability to lead the Business, and act as a successor/back up for Head of Business.
N

nQualification Criteria

N

n




- Hands-on experience with any Accounting Software / ERP (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft) added advantage if exposure to SICS, D365 & E-Frame (IFRS-17) is available.
N
- End-to-end understanding of the Finance function, and its integration with other areas, and Control framework.
N
- Quality-trained and Project Management Certification is a plus.
N
- Excellent working skills in MS Office.
N
- Hands-on exposure to IFRS-17 or US-GAAP accounting.
N
- Practical experience inRegulatory Compliance is an added advantage and will help succeed in the role faster.
N
- Good Communication and Customer Service skills.
N
- Collaborative and contributes to wider initiatives.

- People management and development skills.

- Influencing and negotiation

- Strong background from Customer Service in F & A Operations with excellent subject knowledge, preferably in the Insurance Sector.

- Positive subject knowledge and previously served roles like Controllership, Management and/or Financial Reporting.

- Finance Change/Project Management/Transitions experience is a plus.
N
- Good subject knowledge and previously served roles like Controllership, Management and/or Financial Reporting
N
- Small to large project teams and extensive interaction with internal and/or external clients.
