Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Dimension Inspector to carry out dimensional inspection of machined and manufactured components. The candidate should have hands-on experience in using precision measuring instruments, interpreting engineering drawings, and ensuring components meet specified dimensional and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform dimensional inspection of CNC machined and manufactured components.

· Inspect components as per engineering drawings, specifications and inspection standards.

· Measure critical dimensions using precision measuring instruments.

· Conduct in-process, final and first-piece inspection as required.

· Verify component dimensions, tolerances, surface conditions and other specified characteristics.

· Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T; symbols, tolerances and machining specifications.

· Identify dimensional deviations and report non-conforming components.

· Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.

· Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve dimensional issues.

· Ensure measuring instruments are properly handled and maintained.

· Verify calibration status of measuring instruments before use.

· Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for dimensional defects.

· Maintain inspection area cleanliness and follow 5S and safety practices.

Measuring Instruments / Equipment The candidate should have practical experience using:

· Vernier Caliper

· Outside / Inside Micrometer

· Height Gauge





· Bore Gauge

· Depth Gauge

· Dial Gauge

· Bevel Protractor

· Thread Gauges

· Plug Gauges

· Snap Gauges

· Radius Gauges

· Surface Roughness Tester

· CMM – preferred

· Other precision measuring instruments

Required Skills

· Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection.

· Valuable knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T;.

· Ability to understand dimensional tolerances and limits.

· Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments.

· Knowledge of inspection methods and quality standards.

· Good observation and analytical skills.

· Ability to identify dimensional deviations accurately.

· Good documentation and reporting skills.

· Basic knowledge of MS Excel for inspection records.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

· CNC Machining

· Engineering Components

· Forging

· Foundry

· Precision Machining

· Manufacturing Industries

Candidate Profile

· 2–5 years of relevant experience in dimensional inspection.

· Should have hands-on experience in CNC/machined component inspection.

· Should be able to independently read engineering drawings and inspect components.

· Good communication and coordination skills.

· Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
