About Organo Et School Organo Et School (OES) is India’s experiential sustainability education organisation, delivering STEL — Sustainability Through Experiential Learning — structured around the Sapthapatha: seven strands of sustainable living (Food, Water, Air, Earth, Energy, Shelter, People). Over seven years, OES has reached 11,500 learners across schools, communities, and corporates.

In FY 2026–27, OES is shifting from breadth to depth — better programmes, bigger impact, people lining up to learn. The target is 12,000–16,000 additional unique learners this year. Seven parallel workstreams need coordinating, a lean team needs leading, and a growing portfolio of partnerships needs managing.

The Operations Head is the person who makes all of that happen on the ground, every day.

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS OES is currently led by its Charter Leader and Curriculum Director. As the organisation scales to seven active workstreams, 45–50 partner schools, 15+ corporate engagements, and a teacher certification programme reaching 300–500 teachers, the operational load has outgrown what a two-person leadership team can absorb.

This role exists to bridge that gap: a hands-on, systems-minded operator who owns programme delivery, team coordination, external partnerships, and day-to-day execution — freeing the Charter Leader to focus on strategy and the Curriculum Director to focus on content quality.

This is not a support role. The Operations Head owns outcomes, not just tasks. You will be expected to build and run OES’s operational backbone — and grow with the organisation as it scales.

Key Responsibilities

- Programme Delivery & Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of all OES programmes: school engagements, community workshops, corporate STEL programmes, Seed School visits, and employee immersion sessions.
- Manage programme calendars, logistics, materials, kits, and on-ground coordination across all sites, including Organo Antharam and Damaragidda campuses.

- Coordinate the Learning Experience Design Consultant (Q1 priority) to ensure all Organo-supported events are transformed from managed activity to genuine STEL experiences.
- Track programme delivery against charter milestones and flag risks or delays proactively to the Charter Leader.
- Ensure Seed School weekly coordinator visits are never missed; NIOS enrolment completed on schedule; literacy/numeracy curriculum deployed and tracked.
- Team Coordination & People Management
- Day-to-day coordination of the OES core team: Program & Community Coordinator, Hub & Store Manager, Farm Manager, and support staff.
- Manage the expert collaborator network (~40 sessions/year across 4 specialists): scheduling, briefings, quality checks, and feedback loops.
- Delegate by role and contribution; develop team members based on capability and competence.
- Run regular team check-ins, remove blockers, and maintain a high-energy, mission-aligned team culture.
- Support the onboarding of current hires (Corporate Program Lead, Hub & Store Manager, Farm Manager) in Q1–Q2.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Build and maintain active relationships with anchor school principals (target: 3–5 deepened to full STEL curriculum integration), community RWA contacts, and corporate HR/ESG leads.
- Coordinate the Corporate Program Lead to ensure 15+ corporates engaged and 1,500–2,000 employees reached through OES programmes.
- Support the Charter Leader in securing and activating the first Education partnership by end of FY 2026–27.
- Manage external consultant relationships:

content & media agency, sustainability audit consultants, and programme freelancers.
- Digital Edutainment & Publications Coordination
- Project-manage the content pipeline in coordination with the Content & Media Consultant/Agency: ensure three focused content formats go live on schedule.
- Coordinate Workbook Book 1 design-to-print timeline and e-book launches (2–3 paid, 4–5 free); manage ISBN registration and agency/printer relationships.
- Track digital content calendar adherence; flag scope creep and ensure the ‘three formats only’ discipline is maintained.
- Teacher Certification Execution
- Coordinate the 2-day STEL Teacher Certification programme logistics: venue, trainer scheduling, participant onboarding, materials, and feedback collection.
- Support the Curriculum Director in delivering the pilot cohort across urban and rural cohorts (target: 300–500 teachers).
- Track global accreditation body engagement timeline; ensure UNESCO ESD / UNEP research and outreach begins in Q1.
- Operational Reporting & Budget Tracking
- Maintain programme dashboards and delivery trackers; produce weekly/monthly operational reports for the Charter Leader.
- Track programme-level costs against approved budget lines (₹2 Cr total); flag overspends early.
- Coordinate inputs for the Organo School (Cambridge/IB) feasibility study: logistics, school visits, data gathering — working alongside the appointed consultant.
- Prepare evidence for IGBC Green Champion and India Education Award applications (Jan–Mar 2027).
- Organo Employee STEL Programme
- Coordinate and run the 12-month STEL immersion for 100% of Organo’s workforce: scheduling, content delivery logistics, Eco-Living Pledge activation, monthly habit nudge communications, and 3-month and 6-month habit surveys.
- Track participation and survey data; report outcomes to the Charter Leader and Organisational Sponsor.
