Role Description The Desktop Support Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Goregaon. The person in this role will provide technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related software, including installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware and operating systems. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting user issues, resolving network connectivity problems, managing user accounts, and ensuring systems adhere to security and compliance standards.

The Desktop Support

Engineer will document incidents and resolutions, maintain asset inventories, and coordinate with senior IT and infrastructure teams as needed.



The role also involves proactive monitoring, regular system maintenance, and supporting end users with clear and professional communication.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong hardware and operating system support skills, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Candidates should possess basic to intermediate networking skills, such as understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi configuration, and network printer setup.
- Candidates should possess skills in common enterprise software and tools, including Windows OS, Microsoft 365 or similar office suites, antivirus solutions, and remote support tools.
- Candidates should possess skills related to IT security and best practices, including user access management, patching, data protection, and adherence to cybersecurity policies.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are beneficial.
- Prior experience in desktop support, IT helpdesk, or a similar technical support role is preferred.
- A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is advantageous.
