About the Role

Location: Gurgaon

We are looking for a Design & Project Lead who will take complete ownership of our workplace design and fit-out projects.

This is not a typical interior designer role. You will be responsible for leading projects end-to-end—from concept development and design decisions to vendor coordination, execution, timelines, budgets and final handover.

Whether it's creating a new training room, redesigning a medical room, building a new office space or managing outsourced workplace fit-outs, you will own every aspect of the project while collaborating with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.

Our goal is easy: projects should run successfully without requiring day-to-day supervision.

Key responsibilities:

Project Ownership

- Independently manage multiple workplace design and fit-out projects simultaneously (typically 3–5 projects).
- Prepare project plans, timelines and execution schedules.
- Drive projects from concept through completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected quality.

Design:

- Develop design concepts, layouts, finishes and material palettes.
- Create mood boards and design presentations.
- Recommend materials, furniture, lighting and finishes.
- Maintain a high standard of aesthetics while balancing functionality and budget.

Vendor & Consultant Management

- Lead coordination with architects, contractors, consultants and vendors.
- Conduct regular site visits.
- Resolve design and execution issues proactively.
- Ensure contractors meet agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Work closely with the external technical consultant for BOQ validation and technical reviews.

Stakeholder Management

- Present concepts confidently to leadership.




- Coordinate with internal users to understand requirements.
- Translate business needs into practical design solutions.
- Provide regular project updates without being asked.

Quality & Execution

- Review workmanship and finishes during execution.
- Identify issues before they become problems.
- Ensure projects are handed over with minimal snagging.
- Maintain project documentation and approvals.

What Success Looks Like Within 6 months, you should be able to:

- Independently manage multiple fit-out projects.
- Lead vendor and consultant meetings.
- Present design proposals confidently.
- Make design recommendations with clear rationale.
- Escalate only major strategic decisions.
- Deliver projects that require review—not constant supervision.

We're Looking For Someone Who...

Must Have

- 5–8 years of experience in commercial interior design and workplace fit-outs.
- Experience independently managing projects from concept to completion.
- Strong understanding of workplace planning, materials and finishes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to confidently manage contractors, consultants and vendors.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Technical Skills

- AutoCAD
- SketchUp and/or Revit
- PowerPoint (excellent presentation skills)




- Microsoft Excel
- Basic understanding of BOQs and project costing
- Familiarity with commercial office fit-outs
