Position: Design Engineer – Hydraulic Machining Fixtures

Job Responsibilities

- Design and develop hydraulic machining fixtures for VMC, HMC and CNC machines.
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
- Understand component drawings, GD&T;, machining processes and customer requirements.
- Design hydraulic clamping, locating and supporting systems.
- Select suitable hydraulic cylinders, valves, fittings and other fixture components.
- Develop fixtures considering machining accessibility, cycle time, operator safety and ease of loading/unloading.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and assembly teams during fixture development.
- Modify designs based on trial, inspection and customer feedback.
- Prepare BOM and maintain proper design documentation.
- Support fixture trials and resolve design-related issues.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of VMC,



HMC and CNC machining processes.
- Solid knowledge of hydraulic fixture design and clamping concepts.
- Knowledge of locating principles, 3-2-1 concept and fixture design standards.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo / NX or similar CAD software.
- Good understanding of machining tools, cutting access and workholding.
- Ability to independently develop a fixture from component drawing to final manufacturing drawing.

Preferred Candidate A candidate who has practical experience in automobile component machining fixtures, especially hydraulic fixtures, and can independently handle design modifications and fixture trials. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
