Role Description Position: Application Support Engineer

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Application Support Engineer to join our agile team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing technical support for software applications,Candidate to have good knowledge of Loan Lifecycle Process with a solid understanding of SQL and Linux commands being a significant advantage.

This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a proactive approach to ensuring system stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Application Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software applications.
- Respond to and resolve application issues reported by end-users promptly.
- Monitor application performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- SQL and Database Management:
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
- Perform data analysis and create reports as needed.
- Linux Command Utilization:
- Utilize Linux commands to manage and maintain server environments.
- Perform routine system checks and monitor system performance.
- Automate routine tasks using shell scripts.
- Incident Management:
- Document and track incidents, ensuring they are resolved within the defined SLA.




- Collaborate with Vendor to identify and address root causes of issues.
- User Training and Documentation:
- Create and maintain documentation related to application support processes and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users to enhance their understanding and usage of applications.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance application stability and user experience.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in application support or a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., SQL, Linux).
