NABOUT THE ROLE

nVegrow is India's fastest-growing B2B fresh fruit supply chain - and credit is the engine that drives it. As Deputy Manager - Credit, you will be the execution backbone of Vegrow's credit function - owning day-to- day underwriting, limit monitoring, and portfolio health across Indian Domestic, Imports, and Exports channels.

NThis is a high-ownership role for an early-career finance professional who wants to build genuine credit judgment - not just process applications - in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

NKEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n- Customer Underwriting: Evaluate credit applications end-to-end - financials, trading history, cash flows, and sector-specific risk factors;

prepare structured credit appraisals with limit recommendations for review.

N- Limit Monitoring Adjustments: Track credit limit utilization across the active portfolio;

process real- time limit adjustment requests tied to harvest and seasonal cycles;

flag exceptions and escalate to Head of Credit.

N- Portfolio Health Monitoring: Monitor DPI (Days Past oldest unpaid Invoice) and DPD daily;

identify early-warning signals;

maintain a live watch list for at-risk accounts and ensure timely escalation.

N- Collections Coordination: Prepare and hand over DPI 120+ accounts to the collections team with complete documentation;

track resolution and update portfolio records.

N- BPR Support: Compile and validate portfolio data for weekly Business Performance Review sessions;

ensure numbers are accurate and variance is explained before the review.

N- Policy Governance Execution:



Apply credit SOPs consistently across all channels;

flag policy gaps or edge cases to the Head of Credit;

maintain audit-ready credit files for every active customer.

N- Field Visits: Travel (25-30%) to assess customer operations, validate financial information on the ground, and build direct relationships with key traders.

NWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

N- Chartered Accountant orM.Com with 3+ years of experience in credit underwriting, credit analysis, or lending - NBFC, bank, agritech, or supply-chain finance backgrounds preferred.

N- Robust foundation in financial statement analysis, cash-flow assessment, and credit risk evaluation.

N- Comfort working with data and credit monitoring tools;

ability to spot trends in portfolio metrics independently.

N- Detail-oriented with a zero-error mindset - credit files and reported numbers must be reliable.

N- Good communication skills;

able to engage with field sales teams and business leads clearly and directly.

N- Familiarity with agri-trader or SME lending is a plus, not a prerequisite.

N- Willingness to travel 25-30% for field assessments and customer visits.
