Job Summary:

We are looking for a Database Developer / Data Engineer with strong expertise in SingleStore database optimization and Python scripting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving database performance, developing automation solutions, and supporting data-intensive applications. Experience with MongoDB is desirable and will be considered an added advantage.

Experience: 3 - 5 Years

Location: Bangalore

Mode of Work: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

- Optimize and tune SingleStore databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Analyze and troubleshoot slow-running queries, indexing issues, and database bottlenecks.

- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, data processing, monitoring, and system integration.

- Design and implement efficient data workflows and ingestion processes.

- Monitor database health and proactively identify performance improvement opportunities.

- Collaborate with application development and engineering teams to support business requirements.

- Perform database maintenance activities, capacity planning, and performance analysis.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for database solutions and operational processes.

- Ensure adherence to data security, governance, and best practices.

Must Have Skills:





- 3-5 years of experience in Database Development, Data Engineering, or a related role.

- Strong hands-on experience with SingleStore (MemSQL).

- Proven expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.

- Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data processing.

- Advanced SQL skills with experience in writing and optimizing complex queries.

- Experience working with large-scale datasets and high-volume transactional systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

- Experience or working knowledge of MongoDB.

- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.

- Exposure cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of REST APIs and data integration frameworks.

- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently in a rapid-paced environment.
