Data Quality IMR Consultant

Role Overview:-

The role is required to support the Mercury programme's Issue Management and Remediation (IMR) workstream. This includes supporting the metadata enhancements, Business Glossary, AI driven metadata/Business Glossary Analysis, sustainable and efficient operating model, standardized DQ issue management tooling and enhanced metrics & reporting. Supporting DQ Controls enhancements.

Key Responsibilities: -

Collaborate with business, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders for Business Terms deduplication.

Support governance, control enhancement, and regulatory compliance initiatives

Familiarity with Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and Critical Risk Measures (CRMs) frameworks.

Data Governance, Data Quality Controls, Compliance

Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to integrate AI solutions into banking operations.

Align metadata initiatives with CDO objectives: data quality, governance, lineage, regulatory compliance, and data democratization.





Translate business and regulatory requirements into functional specifications for metadata platforms and AI-driven solutions.

Define use cases for AI/ML (e.g., Business term to Physical mapping, automated lineage, duplicate detection) in metadata management.

Partner with Business and function team to define standards for metadata capture and enrichment.

Strong understanding of metadata management (data lineage, cataloging, business glossary, ownership).

Prepare stakeholder updates, documentation, and implementation reports

Required Skills & Experience:-

8–12 years of experience in Regulatory, Risk, Compliance, Data Governance, or related domains.

Solid experience in gap analysis, impact assessments, and implementation delivery.

Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.

Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Experience working within Financial Services environments.

Preferred Skills :-

Data Governance expertise (Metadata, Lineage ,Data Quality , CDE, Regulatory reporting, Data Profiling , Data Analysis).

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology.

Skilled at translating requirements into metadata use cases.

Familiarity with Metadata Management platforms.

Experience working on regulatory transformation initiatives.

Exposure to governance and controls frameworks.
