Our client is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 3–5 years of experience in QA automation for data-intensive products. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of analytics platforms through automation, data validation, and regression testing.

The ideal candidate should have experience testing dashboards, validating large datasets using SQL, automating UI and API tests, and working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or similar technologies. You'll work closely with engineering and data teams to ensure high-quality releases across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and data validation testing.
- Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Validate data accuracy across dashboards, reports, APIs, and databases.
- Write SQL queries to verify business logic, calculations, aggregations, and data transformations.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to understand business requirements and develop effective test strategies.
- Integrate and execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot defects, and improve regression test coverage.
- Contribute to automation best practices and continuous quality improvements.

Required Skills

- 3–5 years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, or Software Testing with strong automation experience.
- Experience testing data-intensive, analytics, BI, dashboard-based, or SaaS applications.
- Strong experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress .
- Robust SQL skills with hands-on experience in data validation, database testing, and business logic verification.




- Experience writing SQL queries and performing database validation in relational databases ( PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server ) and exposure to cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery is a plus.
- Experience testing REST APIs .
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
- Experience integrating or executing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines .
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Jira .
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation validation.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience testing AI, analytics, FinOps, SaaS, or other data-driven platforms .
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP .
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes .
- Experience with analytics and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker .
- Experience building QA dashboards, quality metrics, or contributing to QA process improvements.
