About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Analyst specializing in Global Digital Risk & Data Protection to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. This onsite role reports directly to the Director of Tech Compliance and plays a pivotal part in safeguarding our enterprise data assets.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in cybersecurity, data protection, and security operations within a global, rapid-paced environment. Your primary focus will be to operate, enhance, and scale our enterprise data protection capabilities across various platforms, including endpoints, email, cloud applications, and collaboration tools. You will be instrumental in implementing best practices, managing security technologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to mitigate risks associated with data leakage, insider threats, and policy violations.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of data security, collaborating with global teams and influencing our organization’s security posture.
Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background with a BE/B.Tech/MCA in IT, Computer Science,
Electronics and Communication, or a related field. A minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional experience in data protection, DLP, security operations, or information security roles is required.
Experience working in large, globally distributed environments is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate technical proficiency in data security controls, encryption methodologies, and security technologies, along with excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with scripting, automation, and security tools such as Microsoft 365 Security stack, CASB, and proxy technologies will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities Manage and continuously improve enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls, policies, and operational processes to ensure robust data security. Execute technology roadmaps for DLP platforms, addressing evolving business needs and emerging threats.
Implement and optimize controls across data in motion, at rest, and in use environments, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Review existing configurations, recommend enhancements, and support deployment across various enterprise systems. Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to enable proactive monitoring and risk mitigation.
Operate and support multiple security technologies, including DLP solutions, Microsoft Purview / M365 Security, Exchange Online Protection, and Web Proxy controls. Support the deployment and management of encryption solutions across devices, emails, databases, and cloud platforms, leveraging strong encryption methodologies such as symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, and key management. Coordinate incident response efforts, investigating, prioritizing,
and resolving data protection incidents within defined SLAs.
Identify risks related to data leakage, insider threats, and policy violations, supporting mitigation strategies and high-criticality case management.
Lead end-to-end phishing simulation programs, including threat trend analysis, campaign design, execution, validation, and reporting. Collaborate with awareness teams to enhance employee cyber resilience through training and awareness initiatives. Support the deployment of cloud data protection platforms and access controls, including CASB and Zero Trust solutions.
Promote a security-first culture across the organization by conducting workshops, knowledge sessions, and providing user guidance documentation. Continuously seek opportunities for process automation and technical improvements to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
