Role & responsibilities

At Niwas Housing Finance, data already powers the decisions that matter - underwriting, collections, risk, and regulatory reporting all run on it every day. As we grow, we're expanding we're investing in a contemporary data platform to match our ambition, and we're hiring a Data Engineer to help architect and scale it

This is a build role, not a maintenance one. You'll shape how data powers the entire company.

What you'll work on:

Extending and optimizing our ingestion pipelines on AWS Glue Redshift

Building on our Databricks lakehouse as the single source of truth for analytics and risk

Bringing CI/CD and automated data-quality checks to more of our critical workflows

Making underwriting and collections insights faster and more reliable

Preferred candidate profile

- Have 35 years shipping production pipelines, not just prototypes
- Write SQL and Python that other engineers are happy to inherit
- Know AWS (Glue, Redshift) and Databricks well enough to have opinions about them
- Treat data warehousing, CI/CD, and testing as non-negotiable, not nice-to-haves
- Candidate in lending, fintech, or anywhere with an auditor.
