We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer / Data Migration Specialist with 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, ETL/ELT, data migration, and data quality. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GCP BigQuery, very strong SQL, ETL/ELT, API integration, data profiling, source-to-target mapping, data transformation, and migration execution.

The role involves analyzing legacy systems, developing and executing migration processes, establishing data quality and reconciliation controls, supporting testing and migration cycles, and ensuring adherence to data governance standards.

Responsibilities

· Analyze legacy systems and perform data profiling to identify data quality issues, duplicates, missing records, invalid relationships, and inconsistencies.

· Prepare Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) and define data cleansing, transformation, standardization, and enrichment rules for Siebel data entities.

· Design and develop ETL/ELT data migration processes, reusable migration frameworks,



and data integration solutions.

· Execute data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, trial migrations, and production migrations and optimize performance for large datasets.

· Establish data quality controls, validation checks, reconciliation reports, and resolve migration discrepancies.

· Support SIT, UAT, mock migration, production migration, post-migration validation, and defect resolution activities.

· Develop and manage data orchestration workflows using Google Cloud Composer.

· Apply data governance and controls, with exposure to Google Dataplex.

· Prepare and maintain Data Migration Strategy, Mapping Documents, Design Documents, Reconciliation Reports, Cutover Plans, and Migration Runbooks.

· Collaborate with business, QA, and project teams to support business validation, acceptance, governance reviews, and project audits.

· Ensure adherence to data governance and migration quality standards.

Must - Have Qualifications:

· 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Migration, Data Integration, and ETL/ELT.

· Strong hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery.

· Very strong SQL skills.

· Strong experience in ETL/ELT and API integration.

· Experience in ETL/ELT design, metadata-driven ETL, and Data Quality (DQ).

· Experience with orchestration using Google Cloud Composer.

· Strong hands on experience in Kenan or Seibel

· Strong understanding of Data Analysis & Profiling, Data Mapping, Transformation, Cleansing, and Migration.

· Experience in Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) and data transformation rules.

· Experience with data quality controls, validation, reconciliation, and migration discrepancy resolution.

· Experience supporting SIT, UAT, mock migration, and production migration cycles.

· Valuable understanding of data governance standards and documentation.

· Good to have experience with Python and STRIIM.

· Good to have exposure to Google Dataplex for governance control.
