About The Role This is a part-time remote opportunity for a Cyber Security Specialist Freelance Trainer at Patch the Skill. The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of extensive experience in cybersecurity, with specialized expertise in Cyber Ark and Okta tools.

The primary responsibility of this role is to design and deliver comprehensive online training sessions on core cybersecurity topics, including application security, network security, and information security. The trainer will work closely with our team to develop engaging curriculum, practical labs, and real-world scenarios tailored to diverse learner groups ranging from beginners to advanced professionals. The role involves preparing detailed lesson plans, creating interactive training materials, and continuously updating course content to reflect the latest industry threats, tools, and best practices.

The trainer will evaluate participant progress through assignments, quizzes, and hands-on exercises, providing constructive feedback to facilitate effective learning. Collaboration with Patch the Skill’s team is essential to ensure training programs align with client needs and industry standards, ultimately fostering a secure and knowledgeable workforce.

Qualifications





- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity and information security principles, frameworks, policies, and best practices.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience as a cybersecurity consultant or trainer.
- Hands-on expertise with Cyber Ark and Okta security tools, demonstrating practical application skills.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts, including secure network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- In-depth knowledge of application security, secure coding practices, common vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10, and mitigation strategies.
- Experience in malware analysis, including identifying, analyzing, and responding to malicious software threats.
- Proven ability to deliver technical training or mentorship, with excellent communication skills to explain complex cybersecurity topics clearly and effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent practical experience are highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in remote training tools, learning management systems, and digital collaboration platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently design hands-on labs, case studies, and interactive content in a flexible, freelance, part-time capacity.

- Support the development of additional training materials and resources as needed to enhance the learning experience.
