Role Description The Counselor role at Lann EduTech is a full time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Counselor will engage with students and families to understand their academic backgrounds, interests, and goals, and provide guidance on suitable courses, programs, and learning pathways.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, responding to inquiries, explaining offerings and admission processes, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and follow-ups. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to stay updated on program details, admission timelines, and institutional partnerships, and sharing this information clearly with prospective learners.



The Counselor is expected to maintain a professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented approach, support outreach activities or events, and contribute feedback to improve counseling processes and learner experience.

Qualifications

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated counseling or advisory experience in education, career guidance, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to explain academic programs, admission processes, and career options clearly and accurately to diverse audiences.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining records, coordinating appointments, and managing multiple inquiries.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, CRM or student management systems) and comfort working with education technology tools.
- Empathetic, patient, and learner-focused approach, with strong ethical standards and respect for confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in counseling are an advantage.
- Fluency in English and familiarity with local languages in Bengaluru is beneficial; prior experience in an academic or EdTech setting is a plus.
