Company Description Moner thikana is a mental health outpatient department (OPD) unit dedicated to providing accessible, client-centered psychological support. Role Description The Counseling Intern is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting mental health services under the supervision of licensed professionals. Day-to-day tasks include conducting intake interviews, assisting with individual counseling sessions, and documenting case notes in accordance with ethical and organizational guidelines.
The intern will help develop psychoeducational materials, support tele-counseling sessions, and participate in case discussions and supervision meetings. Additional responsibilities may include scheduling sessions, coordinating follow-up communication with clients,
and contributing to outreach or awareness initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and ethical guidelines, with a strong interest in mental health practice.
- Ability to conduct basic assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and follow structured clinical protocols under supervision.
- Solid interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills to build rapport with clients in a remote setting.
- Comfort with telehealth platforms, digital record-keeping tools, and remote collaboration technologies.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (graduate-level training preferred).
- Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural, socioeconomic, and individual differences, with a commitment to inclusive, non-judgmental care.
- Ability to manage time effectively, maintain professional boundaries, and work independently while responding to supervision and feedback.
- Prior experience in mental health settings, helplines, or community work is beneficial but not required.
