Role Description The Counselling Psychologist will provide individual and group counseling services to clients, using evidence-informed approaches to address emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake interviews, completing assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records.
The role involves delivering in-person sessions, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, participating in case discussions and peer supervision.
The Counselling
Psychologist may also support workshops or training programs for schools, colleges, and corporate clients when required. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and psychotherapy skills, including experience with individual and group interventions.
- Ability to conduct psychological assessments, formulate case conceptualizations, and design structured treatment plans.
- Proficiency in maintaining confidential documentation, clinical notes, and ethical record-keeping.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and rapport-building skills with diverse client populations.
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a team, participate in peer supervision, and engage in continuous professional development.
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Psychology, Counselling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant certifications or training in counseling or psychotherapy modalities (e.g., CBT, REBT, mindfulness-based approaches) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated awareness of ethical standards, cultural sensitivity, and non-judgmental practice in mental health care.
- Experience in school, college, community, or corporate mental health settings is preferred.
- Comfort working in office in Bengaluru and managing a full-time clinical caseload.
