Role & responsibilities

- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.

- Provide comprehensive consultation services in OPD, IPD, Emergency, and ICU (where applicable).

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation, investigations, and evidence-based guidelines.

- Manage patients with diabetes, hypertension, respiratory diseases, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, renal disorders, endocrine disorders, and other medical illnesses.

- Interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, X-rays, CT scans, MRI reports, and other diagnostic findings relevant to patient management.

- Stabilize and manage medical emergencies, including sepsis, metabolic emergencies, poisoning, and acute medical conditions.

- Perform routine bedside procedures within the scope of Internal Medicine practice.

- Coordinate patient care with specialists and allied healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary management.

- Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor patient progress throughout hospitalization.

- Provide pre-operative medical evaluation and optimization for surgical patients.

- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive healthcare, lifestyle modifications,



and follow-up care.

- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, prescriptions, discharge summaries, and electronic medical records.

- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, infection control practices, and hospital clinical protocols.

- Participate in emergency duties, rotational on-call services, and code blue response when required.

- Contribute to departmental clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, CMEs, and academic activities.

- Uphold ethical medical practice, patient confidentiality, and professional standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- MD in General Medicine from an NMC-recognized institution.

- Valid NMC/State Medical Council registration.

- Fresh MD graduates or candidates with up to 5 years of post-qualification experience.

- Strong clinical knowledge in Internal Medicine and evidence-based patient care.

- Excellent diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills.

- Positive communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling abilities.

- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

- Willingness to participate in emergency duties and rotational shifts.
