Role Description The Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for providing specialized anesthesia care to patients undergoing cardiac and cardiothoracic procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, intraoperative management for cardiac surgeries and interventional cardiology procedures, and postoperative care, including pain management and hemodynamic monitoring in critical care units. The role involves close collaboration with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.

Anesthesiologist will participate in emergency coverage for cardiac cases, contribute to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives, and support training and mentoring of junior medical staff and trainees.

Qualifications

Robust foundation in Medicine and Cardiology, with expertise in cardiac anesthesia and perioperative cardiac care.

Experience in Emergency Medicine, including management of cardiac emergencies and critical care scenarios.

Proven ability in Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Background in Training, mentoring, or teaching medical students, residents, or fellows in anesthesia or cardiology-related fields.

MD/DNB in Anesthesiology or equivalent recognized qualification; fellowship or advanced training in cardiac anesthesia is highly preferred.

Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice anesthesiology in the relevant jurisdiction.

Strong clinical decision-making skills, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety and quality standards.

Effective communication skills, professionalism, and ability to work in a high-volume, tertiary care hospital setting.
