CSU Work Study - Conservation Communications Assistant Position Title: Conservation Communications Assistant
Supervising Organization : Crowd Conservation (off-campus nonprofit)
Looking for CSU Work Study Students - Posting closes Sept 7, 2026 Begin and End Dates : Sept 2026 through May 2027
Work Schedule: Flexible, remote
Total Hours/Week: up to 10 hours per week
Compensation : $17+/hour depending on experience
Description Of Duties The Work Study student will support the communication efforts of the nonprofit Crowd Conservation, working with staff and project partners to create and curate content for our website, newsletter, and social media channels.
This position will also provide a student with the opportunity to develop their communication skills, engage with a network of conservation practitioners from many different agencies and organizations, and gain a deeper understanding of storytelling, collaborative and cross-boundary conservation, and community engagement.
The student may also have the opportunity to participate in projects related to research and facilitation of team-oriented conservation campaigns if desired.

- Engage communities through education, outreach, and science
- Facilitate meetings, events, and workshops in-person, virtual, or hybrid settings
- Promote knowledge sharing between conservation practitioners and support peer-learning opportunities
- Provide training for facilitation, communication, and collaboration
- Launch, develop, or support communication pathways or campaigns
- Support on-the-ground conservation projects
