Role Description The Computer Aided Design Engineer role at CESS Dynamics is a full-time, in office position based in Ahmedabad. In this role, the engineer will design and develop mechanical and mechatronic components and assemblies using CAD tools, translating functional requirements into accurate 3D models and detailed drawings. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with mechanical and robotics engineers, performing physical design assessments, preparing manufacturing-ready documentation, and supporting prototyping and testing activities.

The engineer will review designs for manufacturability, safety, and reliability, update models and drawings based on feedback, and maintain design standards and libraries.



The role also involves close coordination with project teams to ensure timely delivery of design outputs aligned with automation and robotic system integration.

Qualifications

Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and workflows, with the ability to create precise 3D models and detailed technical drawings.

Knowledge of Physical Design principles, including layout, tolerancing, and structural considerations for mechanical and mechatronic systems.

Background in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical assemblies.

Experience with Solidworks and Fusion 360

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.

Ability to interpret engineering specifications and industry standards, and apply them to practical design solutions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.

Familiarity with industrial robotics or automation systems is an advantage.

Experience with design validation, prototyping support, and continuous improvement of design processes is beneficial.
