Collection Specialist NBFC / Loan Recovery

Job Summary

We are looking for a target-oriented Collection Specialist to manage overdue accounts, drive timely recoveries, reduce delinquency, and maintain professional customer relationships. The candidate should have experience in NBFC, banking, fintech, microfinance, or financial services collections.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage assigned overdue and delinquent customer accounts.
- Follow up with customers through calls and approved communication channels for timely repayments.
- Achieve quarterly collection and recovery targets.
- Negotiate repayment plans and handle customer objections professionally.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and perform skip tracing/customer verification where required.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, commitments, payments, and follow-ups in the CRM.
- Handle customer escalations and coordinate with internal teams when required.
- Ensure all collection activities follow company policies, applicable regulations, and ethical collection practices.
- Prepare basic collection reports and provide regular updates on assigned accounts.
- Handle customer service calls occasionally, whenever required based on business needs, and assist with basic customer queries.

Requirements & Skills

- 1-3 years of experience in collections, debt recovery,



loan recovery, or tele-calling collections.
- Experience in NBFC, banking, fintech, or financial services preferred.
- Proven ability to achieve collection/recovery targets.
- Strong English and Hindi communication skills.
- Knowledge of regional languages such as Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, or Kannada is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Target-oriented, persistent, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, CRM, and collection management systems.
- Solid integrity and commitment to ethical collection practices and compliance.

Education

- HSC / Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant collection/recovery experience may be considered in lieu of specific educational qualifications.
