We are looking for an experienced Coffee Quality Analyst / Q Grader to manage the quality evaluation of green coffee, roasted coffee and coffee lots throughout the processing and production stages. The candidate will be responsible for operating coffee quality analysis equipment, conducting cupping and sensory evaluation, identifying defects, maintaining quality records and ensuring that coffee meets required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct physical and sensory evaluation of green and roasted coffee.

Operate and maintain Coffee Quality Analyzer and other quality testing equipment.

Evaluate coffee for moisture, density, colour, bean size and other quality parameters, as applicable.

Perform sample preparation, roasting and cupping of coffee samples.

Identify and classify primary and secondary coffee defects.

Assess coffee for aroma, flavour, acidity, body, aftertaste, sweetness and overall cup quality.

Conduct Q Grading / cupping sessions according to established protocols.

Maintain accurate records of lot-wise quality, cupping scores, defects and test results.

Approve, reject or segregate coffee lots based on defined quality specifications.





Monitor quality at different stages of receiving, processing, drying, storage, roasting and dispatch.

Coordinate with the production, procurement and operations teams to address quality issues.

Identify variations in coffee quality and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain calibration, cleanliness and proper functioning of quality testing equipment.

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports.

Ensure compliance with company quality standards and applicable coffee industry standards.

Maintain proper sample retention and traceability of coffee lots.

Support supplier/farmer evaluations and incoming raw coffee quality assessment when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Qualification in Food Technology, Agriculture, Coffee Technology, Food Science, Chemistry or a related field is preferred.

Q Grader certification is highly preferred.

Practical knowledge of coffee cupping and sensory evaluation.

Valuable understanding of coffee processing and roasting.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
