A CNC Machine Operator is a skilled worker who operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to manufacture precision parts from metal, plastic, or other materials.

Main Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathe, milling, drilling, etc.).
- Load raw materials into the machine.
- Read and follow engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Measure finished parts using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments.
- Replace worn cutting tools when needed.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Keep the machine and work area clean.

Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of CNC machines and G-code (helpful).
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Valuable mathematical and measuring skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of workplace safety.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or Machinist trade (commonly preferred).
- Experience operating CNC machines is an advantage, though some employers provide training.
