Role Description This is an internship role for a Clinical Pharmacist, based on-site at MGM Muthoot Medical Centre in Kozhenchery. The intern will assist in reviewing medication orders, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring protected and appropriate use of medicines for inpatients and outpatients.

Daily responsibilities include supporting medication reconciliation, monitoring drug therapy for effectiveness and safety, and collaborating with physicians and nurses on pharmaceutical care plans. The role also involves participating in patient counselling, documentation of interventions, maintaining accurate pharmacy records,



and adhering to hospital policies and regulatory standards. Interns will work under supervision, gaining practical exposure to clinical pharmacy practice in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a clinical setting.
- Competence in Pharmaceutical Care, including assessment of medication therapy and contribution to care plans.
- Basic understanding of Medicine, drug mechanisms, indications, contraindications, and potential interactions.
- Ability to perform Compounding and preparation of medications according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program from a recognized institution.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and documentation skills, and adherence to ethical and legal standards in pharmacy practice.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to hospital workflows, and maintain professionalism in patient-facing environments.
