ABOUT THE ROLE Some people scroll through content.

The Chief Pet Storyteller Intern is designed for the second kind of person.

This isn’t a traditional internship where work begins with presentations and ends in folders. It’s a creator-first role for people deeply plugged into internet culture, storytelling, and the world of pets.

As part of the HUFT Creator Squad, you’ll discover stories hiding in plain sight — from pet parents and neighbourhood communities to trends, conversations, and moments people can instantly connect with.

You’ll spend your time observing, exploring, creating, and asking questions others don’t think to ask.

Because somewhere out there is a story people will love.

And your job is to find it.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Story Discovery & Content Ideation

You’ll become a story hunter. Not every story starts with something big.

Sometimes it starts with a funny habit.

A strange obsession.

An emotional moment.

Or something completely ridiculous that somehow deserves to exist on the internet.

You Will:

- Identify interesting stories involving pets, pet parents, communities, and everyday moments
- Generate ideas inspired by internet culture, trends, and emerging formats
- Spot conversations people are paying attention to and turn them into content opportunities
- Bring fresh, unexpected perspectives to storytelling
- Content Creation Support

Ideas are only half the journey. The other half is bringing them to life.

You’ll create and document authentic content using simple, mobile-first tools — capturing moments as they happen.

You Will:

- Create short-form content across platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging channels
- Support scripting, storytelling, and content planning
- Capture on-ground content when required
- Work closely with internal teams to turn ideas into content people want to watch
- Trend & Culture Intelligence

Internet culture changes fast. Sometimes overnight.





You’ll be someone who notices what people are watching, sharing, laughing at, and talking about before everyone else catches on.

You Will:

- Stay updated on trends, creator ecosystems, memes, and cultural conversations
- Identify opportunities for authentic brand participation
- Share observations and insights around emerging online behaviours and formats
- Community Engagement

The best stories usually come from people. You’ll step into communities, meet pet parents, talk to creators, and discover moments that can’t be found from behind a screen.

You Will:

- Interact with pet parents, creators, and communities to uncover unique stories
- Build relationships with creators and pet enthusiasts
- Gather insights and feedback that can inspire future content

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS We care more about curiosity than perfect resumes. Students, fresh graduates, and emerging creators across disciplines are welcome.

Experience You might already

- Create content online
- Run an Instagram page, YouTube channel, blog, or podcast
- Experiment with storytelling projects of your own
- Spend way too much time understanding internet culture

Previous experience in content creation, storytelling, creator ecosystems, or social media is preferred — but robust curiosity matters just as much. Skills & Competencies We’re looking for people who:

- Have strong storytelling and communication skills
- Understand internet culture and social platforms deeply
- Think creatively and have a strong point of view
- Are comfortable creating content through mobile-first tools
- Can work independently and take ownership
- Spot trends quickly and act on them
- Love pets and understand the role they play in people’s lives
